Birthdays!

It’s my hubby’s birthday today.

We were born on the same day in different months so it’s easy to remember.

Anyway, he’s one year older – and so am I and so is our son.

At this point, I have to get out a calculator to figure out my age as I’ve stopped counting.

The years have started to run together.

And that’s ok. I’m busy with life.

I suspect my hubby feels the same way. He isn’t very excited about his birthday because it means he’s getting old.

My son is still very excited about his birthdays because it means presents, new toys, parties, and cake!

Birthdays are all about perspective.

They happen whether you want them to or not and having a birthday means you are still alive.

So if you are at the age where birthdays don’t matter anymore, relax.  Celebrate the fact that you are still here.

Not everyone is so lucky.
