Where to Find Love

The search for romance is vexing. For everyone I think.

I sometimes think that societies that arrange marriages may be onto something.
I have a friend who struggles with this.
He refuses to believe that anyone else has ever had trouble meeting people.
But when I was his age, despite being superhot, I couldn’t figure out how to get a guy to ask me out on a date.
My mom suggested going to places where smart men hang out. Like museums.
That didn’t work.
My sister suggested if I liked a guy, I should ask him out to something neutral – during the day – so he would know I was interested.
That didn’t work so well either.
What worked?
Being open to the possibilities and not having any expectations.
When I stopped putting pressure on myself to find someone to date and “be in love” with, I stopped putting pressure on the men I was meeting to fulfill that role.
This meant, I could actually get to know them and find out if we were compatible.
That worked.
