Summer

This is the last week of school. Which means, it’s nearly summer. As a child I loved summer. It represented freedom. Now, as a mom, I dread it. It represents the loss of freedom. Instead of being able to do the things I want to do, I have to figure out ways to keep a six year old entertained and I have to put the stuff I want to do on hold for 2 to 3 months. It’s actually quite frustrating. However, to get myself through it, I remind myself that this time with my son is precious. I am determined to enjoy myself and I will do my best to try not to think about all the things I should be doing. Wish me luck.
