Humanists reject supernaturalism.
Not on theological grounds, but on practical grounds.
It’s not a question of whether gods exist or not.
It’s a question of what works best to solve our problems.
Supernatural approaches to problem solving are notoriously ineffective.
Additionally, if something exists, it is by definition natural so there is no need for supernatural solutions.
The nice thing about this approach – is that it eliminates boring and irrelevant theological discussions.
Conversations, when focused on what actually works are not only much more interesting than conversations about whether or not there is a God.
They tend to yield more effective solutions as well.
Pragmatism. It works.
