How to Love Yourself

It saddens me that there are people who don’t think they are worth loving.

They don’t have friends and don’t know how to make them. They don’t know how to find someone who can love them. The problem is they are so busy looking for validation from without, that they can’t find validation from within. There is a better way. Instead of focusing on how to get people to like you. Focus on what you like about other people. Not one particular person, but everyone you meet. Don’t think about what you need to do to get them to like you. Think about how much you like them. You don’t learn to love yourself by having other people love you. You learn how to love by loving others.
