There is a reason Humanism is demonized pretty much everywhere in the world.
The last thing a domineering dictatorial people want is for you to know that you have a choice.
Not only do you not have to believe what everyone else does, you also don’t need to wait for someone else to save you.
You have the power to save yourself.
The idea that you have the ability to reject and resist oppression is radical and revolutionary.
It is still one of the most subversive thoughts a person can have.
You have a choice.
You can continue to suffer, or, you can try to do something about it.
The point is that change doesn’t just happen on its own.
It requires the active participation of people who refuse to accept the status quo and who make a choice to create change.

I am on the advisory board for the Spiritual Naturalist Society.
I don’t use the word spiritual much in my practice as a Humanist as I find that word can be very confusing.
I am a material naturalist, not a supernatural spiritualist.
